standing in the Pantheon
is like standing at the bottom of a well.
cool, damp, and dark.
when you look upward from within a well,
the intricately carved stone walls draw your eye out to that source of light.
looking upward in the pantheon causes your eye to study in wonderment upon those
simple yet astounding coffers.
that open portal to the sky offers you a longing of hope.
I wish, a dream, a future.
If only you could grow up and out like a wild bean stock.
