Dear Santa,

I don't want to cause any Hubbub so listen up.

I have been a very patient and good girl this year, and there is much I desire for Christmas.
Yes, you can't get me everything that I want, need, and crave...
But the following will do just fine!

Cat out of the Bag

True Film Addict Confession:

My Favorite, top of the chart, number one film is ...

Yes it's known to be a Holiday movie but I watch it sporadically all year round.

I plopped it on tonight and noticed something that I've never noticed before.
(And I've probably seen this film 100 times....)

George's Black Armband.

I'm one to notice the little details. Accidental shadows, editing mistakes, misplaced props, etc.
Dumbfounded by the fact that this was just discovered tonight.

I guess it's possible to be even MORE emotionally stunted by this film.

It's a subtle but well thought detail. Kudos to the Costume design!
(or whoever was in charge of such things)

Devil Horns

Absolutely hilarious.

If only I could have snapped this photo... So to have met that woman!

Hello Monday.
It's been quite chilly here in southern california, thanks to the almighty marine layer. Subjected to wearing socks for the first time in many moons.
The cool feels refreshing, but I still prefer the continuous warmth

I was also forced to buy a semi-winter coat for when I go back home to Chicago for Christmas.

Personal Note: I'm a very stubborn gal.

I have refused to buy and wear a winter coat, even during the visits back home. My wardrobe just doesn't allow it, owning a total of 2 long sleeve shirts.
Never willing to invest, and always preferring to tough it out.

Slow to learn that I just don't like being cold.
Good thing I only have to brace the cold for a week to two weeks out of the year.

Back to the point. I'm thinking about SNOW.

My Sunday Mood

Morning Oddity

As I've mentioned in previous posts...
Every morning, immediately after waking, I start singing a single song that my dreamy subconscious left behind. *Every single morning* The spectrum is endless.
This morning it was:

The Revelator

Now Watch This!

Well, I've been on a Art History Review Kick.
One needs to review and freshen up the mental skills every once in a while.
I personally read through my old text books, notes etc.
But also explore the wide range of films available via netflix.

I stumbled upon this BBC documentary series
The Private Life of a Masterpiece

It only focuses on 3-4 specific "masterpieces" per era. So for those who don't want to feel like they're in a Lecture Hall, I highly recommend it!

H-a-double p-y Friday!

Wild Flower

Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette

French Novelist

Publicity still for Rêve d'Égypte, a show she preformed in at the Moulin Rouge.

"She published around 50 novels in total, many with autobiographical elements. Her themes can be roughly divided into idyllic natural tales or dark struggles in relationships and love. All her novels were marked by clever observation and dialogue with an intimate, explicit style. Her most popular novel, Gigi" -wiki

What a bold and controversial woman.
