By Walking

it was a glorious rainy sunday
filled with continuous conversation.
diner dwelling over coffee.
bookstores, thrift shops, tea, and umbrellas.
plus, a little pleasant surprise under my toes.

There's no more Need.
Now it's Must.

Live without regret

"Living is like tearing through a museum. Not until later do you really start absorbing what you saw, thinking about it, looking it up in a book and remembering— because you can’t take it all in at once." —Audrey Hepburn

Matt just sent me this video along with a fun fact...
I had no idea that Creed Bratton (in the stripped shirt) was in this band.

On Rediscovering

Somewhere in the shuffle,
I've lost excitement, passion, youth...

It sounds horribly drab,
but sometimes the Truth is.

Accept Life Unconditionally

'Pick the day. Enjoy it - to the hilt. The day as it comes. People as they come... The past, I think, has helped me appreciate the present - and I don't want to spoil any of it by fretting about the future.'

Her entire album 'Colour Green' has been spinning mighty steady around these parts.
'The songs that went on to make up her album Colour Green were home reel-to-reel tape recordings Baier had made in Germany between 1970 and 1973. '

Dear Diary,

It's time to go abroad.

Daily Barista

She's ancient, manual, finicky, and unpredictable;
but that's the way I like'em.
On a steady day, I'll make around 55 drinks in one shift.
(thanks to Sleeve count)
If it's a Sunday... we'll hit 100.

Morning Battle

Urban apartment dwelling.
Windows to Windows.
This morning, Window East is
blasting awful hiphop.
Bass buzzing the walls.

So, I blast my NPR.

Ms. Gillian Welch.
(shown above-on the left)
Her music has carried me through
some real heartachin' years.
I had to restrain myself from giving her an enormous
To say the least,
I was 'musician struck'

P.S. She was wearing the most kick ass cowboy boots that evening,of course!

Welcome Back, Oldtimer
