Lake Michigan

http://www.rotatingcorpse.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/charles_w_cushman_chicago_1941_la_4-1.jpg

I'm a homegrown, City raised-Chicagoan.
And during the summer months,
there is no better place to reside.

Days spent by the Lake,
bouncing around from park to park -
museum to museum.

These barrier stones (shown above) I remember the most.
Old men fishing as still as statues; while the waves violently crashed upon them.

Exploring these 'piers' with wet and uneven footing
was cause for a weary child.

Nostalgia to the max.

can't help but miss it, a bit.
(thank you, sir charles cushman)
