Break Away

"Every now and then go away and have a little relaxation.
To remain constantly at work will diminish your judgment.
Go some distance away, because work will be in perspective
and a lack of harmony is more readily seen."

'free - free!'
So, it's been months since I've had two consecutive days off work!
I'm calling my Thursday and Friday's off:
Midst-Weekbreak!

It's still far from the real weekend
(when all my fellow friends hang out)
but it's something - a step.

Ancient Oak

Ancient Oak, Martha’s Vineyard 1968 (from Vintage Photographs)

there's a steady breeze. you're protected by a wall of sweet grass.
I find my way to your branches.
Each footing rests on a different decade.
Resting over the twists and turns, the knots, the abrasions, the growth.
The weight of your Ancient branches coddle my soul.
Slipping into a daydream -
the lifetimes you've lived, the seasons, the souls you've encountered.

Here is where I feel secure in the World.
You're our Roots.

Fuel the Soul

"To him music…was an integral part of your very existence, as vital as breathing or eating. To live a day without music was an unthinkable omission, to live a day without Bach a transgression that bordered on blasphemy."

I blame the restless nights sleep.

I'll spare you the piss details, that we all go through.

Summer Solstice

My alarm sounded at 7am - work summons.
while in the auto-morn-routine, I suddenly remembered...
It's my birthday!

It's a tradition in my family to blare The Beatles song birthday,
while bringing you breakfast in bed. (at the crack ass of dawn)
No matter where I am, or how far I am away from family -
The Song will always await!

Me - 7:12am:
I would like you to dance! take a cha-cha-cha-chance!

Today included:
Talks and Coffee with co-workers, then later surprised with
DELECTABLE cupcakes. I work with some wonderful gals.

After work - Mexican food, Margaritas, and Toy Story 3 (feel good movie of the year)
Now, reading a bunch of lovely birthday wishes from dear ones near and far.

A new wave is crashing in, a path will be unfolded, a change in the wind.
This is the year - I feel it in me bones.

Night, the Beloved

Weegee, “Audience Palace Theater” (All Things Amazing)

To the Table

I'm still all in a mental fluster.
Since living in my new space, I've been questioning
certain aspects of my Life.
I'm feeling a major change of course coming on...
something is going somewhere.
This morning, I feel ready.
Ready to take any spare time and turn in into self energy.
My line in Life.

I'll be honest -
I'm nervous, fearful, unsure, apprehensive, panicked about all this because
I have no fucking clue where to even start.

Eeny, meeny, miny, moe

“It is the stretched soul that makes music, and souls are stretched by the pull of opposites — opposite bents, tastes, yearnings, loyalties.
Where there is no polarity, where energies flow smoothly in one direction,
there will be much doing but no music.”
