Daydream:

Z9loicotvg9jf542xrxbbwfwo1_500

A dreamlike musing or fantasy while awake, especially of the fulfillment of wishes or hopes.

Morning Oddity

As I've mentioned in previous posts...
Every morning, immediately after waking, I start singing a single song that my dreamy subconscious left behind. (or humming) *Every single morning* The spectrum is endless.
This morning it was:

I love coffee. When visiting my extended family in Milwaukee Wisconsin, one of my favorite places to go is Alterra Coffee. Let's talk travel mugs!
They have a great collection of travel mugs that I highly recommend ordering.
They're unique, & EARTH friendly. (I also recommend ordering their coffee, it's Delicious!!)
check'em out.
P.S. most all Cafe's will give you a discount if you bring in your own mug!
Yeehaw.

On the reusable front:
I want this Tote!
Fuck plastic and paper! get something sturdy that you can sling over your shoulder when carrying groceries up those apartment building stairs
.
Holler All the Single Laddies!

Happy Earth Day

Relaxing Morn'

I don't know why everyone is bitching about the heatwave, I've welcomed it with open arms.
Last night I slept so comfortably just under a sheet, with my box fan soothing away in the window... ahh the feeling of summer.
(though that's the box fans permanent residence. I sleep with a fan on winter or summer, rain or shine.
Can't sleep without it)

Saturday Night Flick

I'm No Angel (1933)

Once again, I idolize Mae West.
You can quote just about every word that comes out of her mouth, comedic brilliance.

Having a quiet saturday night.
Dinner, glass of wine, web browsing, a bit of writing, practiced on this here guitar, and plopped on this film.

The Tipi

We had a summer house in Vermont when I was a wee little one.
For a spell, our house in Vermont was the meeting place for our large family. So, many of my cousins were playmates along with my siblings.

The Tipi was a staple on our property.
Beautiful large, white sheeted Tipi's constructed with large dead branches from our land.

We would dress up as Native Americans, give one another names, and spend the lovely summer days frolicking around in the grandeur of the mountains and creeks.

I want to be lounging in one this moment.
the smell of sweet grass and feeling the warmth of the sun.

All I need is a plane ticket.

9 lives

On April 14th, some asshole ran a red light while I was taking a left-hand turn. He hit me so hard that I smashed into another car too (drivers side)
I crawled out of the car hysterically crying, in shock, and relatively unharmed.
I just got this car a month ago, and now
It's TOTALED.

On top of the accident, my computer died on me last weekend so I haven't been able to get on the web regularly.
trying to be positive and hopeful...back to popping advil and bed rest.

p.s. i love my awesome brother, who got to the scene in two splits of a second, and also took the pictures.
Note: he felt bad about taking a picture of me on the board but knew I would want to see them aftermath, he was right.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for being there for me.

Love Monday?

Well, my computer is officially broken! I'm going through interweb withdrawal.
I don't know if this is a good and refreshing thing to happen for a spell or just plain cruel.

Anywho, I'm at my brothers house checking my email and searching for new laptops.
(we're talking cheapies here, under 500. no wonderful Mac-ness)

Reincarnation

http://www.co.yamhill.or.us/pics/jd/linfield/jdTheOldOak.jpg
<span class=

I remember having a conversation about reincarnation one evening while curled up on the couch with my grandmother. I was about 9 years old.
(we still have our lazy, snuggle couch time, where we munch on candies and talk)

I asked my grandma if she believed in reincarnation.
She responded:
"Oh well, I guess so. Yes."
Then I asked what she would come back as.
She said:
"I would come back as an Old Oak Tree,
so I could give off shade for anyone lounging under my branches."

My grandmother is 96 years old and truly my idol. I love her with all my heart.

It kills me to think that she won't see my future children.
But I'll be sure to tell them that every time we lounge under an old oak tree,
we'll know that her spirit will always continue to live.

What would you come back as?
