Lake Michigan

http://www.rotatingcorpse.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/charles_w_cushman_chicago_1941_la_4-1.jpg

I'm a homegrown, City raised-Chicagoan.
And during the summer months,
there is no better place to reside.

Days spent by the Lake,
bouncing around from park to park -
museum to museum.

These barrier stones (shown above) I remember the most.
Old men fishing as still as statues; while the waves violently crashed upon them.

Exploring these 'piers' with wet and uneven footing
was cause for a weary child.

Nostalgia to the max.

can't help but miss it, a bit.
(thank you, sir charles cushman)

Morning Oddity

As I've mentioned in previous posts...
Every morning, immediately after waking, I start singing a single song that my dreamy subconscious left behind. (or humming)
*Every single morning* The spectrum is endless.
last night,
it was:

i was singing this song over and over in my dreams last night,
so much so that I woke myself just to scribbled down:
' seems like a mighty long time'

How Long is Now?

“No, the point is not only does time fly and do we die,
but that in these reckless conditions we live at all, and are vouchsafed,
for the duration of certain inexplicable moments, to know it.”

Yes-sirree-bob,
I served Ryan Hansen today!
I tells ya, the Cafe I work at has turned into a downright celebrity center.
Good to see you again, Christina Ricci.
One Latte, Ryan Gosling?
It's kinda fun...
