By Walking

it was a glorious rainy sunday
filled with continuous conversation.
diner dwelling over coffee.
bookstores, thrift shops, tea, and umbrellas.
plus, a little pleasant surprise under my toes.

Matt just sent me this video along with a fun fact...
I had no idea that Creed Bratton (in the stripped shirt) was in this band.

On Rediscovering

Somewhere in the shuffle,
I've lost excitement, passion, youth...
Self.

It sounds horribly drab,
but sometimes the Truth is.

Accept Life Unconditionally

Her entire album 'Colour Green' has been spinning mighty steady around these parts.
'The songs that went on to make up her album Colour Green were home reel-to-reel tape recordings Baier had made in Germany between 1970 and 1973. '

Dear Diary,

It's time to go abroad.

She's ancient, manual, finicky, and unpredictable;
but that's the way I like'em.
On a steady day, I'll make around 55 drinks in one shift.

This morning, Window East is
blasting awful hiphop.
Bass buzzing the walls.

So, I blast my NPR.

To Gloat

New Years Eve was rather lovely,
from start to finish.
Matt and I found ourselves ringing in the New Year
at his ex-neighbors home.

Due to that circle, I welcomed 2011 with
Ms. Gillian Welch.
(shown above-on the left)
YES.
Her music has carried me through
some real heartachin' years.
I had to restrain myself from giving her an enormous
bear-hug.
To say the least,
I was 'musician struck'

P.S. She was wearing the most kick ass cowboy boots that evening,of course!
Droooool

Welcome Back, Oldtimer
