I'm mentally and emotionally preparing myself for this annual 'holiday-time'
conversation:

My Grandmother: " Well now, (while patting my knee)
when are you going to bring a nice fellow around?"

Me: " I don't know, Grandma..."

My Grandmother: " Well, that's alright Lauren ( i'm never called by my real name, ever)
just hurry up and find one."

Me: " I'll try."

there must be something wrong with the male species of Chicago because I can't understand how the boys are not lined up around the block to bring you flowers, puppies and small countries to win your heart.
