Prehistoric Goodness

Skeleton of sea-elephant & Harold Hamilton by State Library of New South Wales collection.

So as a kid, I never got into most things that i was 'supposed' to get into.
I guess you would have called me
an Innocent and 'too young for my age' kind of kid.

Typical childhood summer days would include:
  • biking around town
  • ghost in the graveyard
  • building forts
  • choreographing dances to Beatles songs
  • watching movies
  • public pools & parks
  • four square
  • spelunking with dog leashes off the catwalk and stair railings
(mind you, all things i like to do in the present time)

and last but not least...

Being an Archaeologist!
there was this huge oak tree in my cousins backyard.
we would wear hats, gloves, grab some paint brushes, a magnified glass, and notebook.
Then we would sweep away the dirt and wood chips discovering
BONES
in actuality:
Tree Roots.
