Milwaukee is Flying

Growing up in Chicago, with much of my family residing in Milwaukee, the city became a second home.

These past 8 years or so the downtown Milwaukee district has vastly changed. I like to call it "The mid-west San Francisco."

The City Market, a wonderful international conglomerate of stands. Fresh fruit, fish, veggies, herbs spices, and a fantastic Italian grocer. Va Bene!

And might I add the BOOM of Cafes. 1. Alterra

"Built in 1888, the historic Milwaukee River Flushing Station is now home to Alterra at the Lake, a unique cafe/deli serving sandwiches, soups and salads, plus freshly brewed coffee, espresso, tea, and bakery items made daily from scratch."

More info about Alterra

While in Milwaukee over the July 4th weekend I stopped into this gardening store/Tea house....

Warehouses turning into magnificent Lofts, Museums, Breweries, and the Lake.

Milwaukee has sprouted Wings.
